About

Why CBD?

The vast array of biological systems in our bodies get depleted from environmental factors and stressors we experience every day.  Oil derived from the HEMP flower is packed with cannabidiol (CBD) and other beneficial cannabinoids (such as CBG, CBC, THC, CBN).  These compounds work together synergistically to help our body achieve homoeostasis, and therefore perform at its best. CBD interacts with the body’s natural endocannabinoid system which helps to regulate many other systems in our body, such as the nervous, circulatory, endocrine, digestive, and immune systems.  Keeping all of these systems in balance with natural fluidity can decrease inflammation, and lead to better sleep, mood, agility, and overall natural health and wellness! A clean, high quality CBD oil can be successfully used by people of all ages, as well as their furry friends!

Top 5 Questions to Ask Before Choosing a CBD Product:

  1. Is the CBD USDA Certified Organic hemp? This is a MUST.  Many companies claim to be organic but are not actually certified. Look for the  USDA Organic Certification to ensure a quality, clean and pure truly organic CBD oil.
  2. What is the color and viscosity of the CBD Oil? A pure and clean CBD oil is derived from the hemp flower and should have no "aerial parts" in the ingredients and should be nearly translucent with a hint of an amber color - NOT thick, goopy, or bad tasting!
  3. What kind of carrier oil is used in the tincture? MCT organic coconut oil is the best for humans, and it also has little if any taste. Vegetable oil, olive oil or even hemp oil may  not have the best taste and may make the CBD less bioavailable to our body, thus more waste.
  4. Is the CBD 3rd Party Tested?   80% of CBD oils on the market are derived from hemp imported from overseas, which could be toxic, and contaminated with pesticides and heavy metals.  Therefore, 3rd Party testing is a MUST to ensure not only the integrity of a clean CBD oil, free from contaminants, but also that what's on the label is what's actually IN the bottle.
  5. Should I take a Full Spectrum CBD Oil or a Broad Spectrum, or an Isolate? Full Spectrum is great for most people (even kids!) as it provides an array of cannabinoids and terpenes that work together for an entourage effect. CBD oil containing .3% or less THC (another cannabinoid found in hemp)  is legal in all 50 states, and is not prevalent enough in hemp to be psychotropic.    A CBD broad spectrum or isolate has 0% THC and is ideal for those who may be at a work place with a zero tolerance policy.  Please contact me for a free consult for more information on this.

What is the Endocannabinoid System?

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a receptor system found throughout the body and is involved in regulating many of our critical biological processes. These systems and processes have a direct effect on sleep, memory, mood, metabolism, inflammation, and many other vital aspects of our health. There are two different cannabinoid receptors in our bodies: CB1 and CB2 Receptors.CB1 receptors are primarily located in the central nervous system. This includes brain, nerve cells, lungs, heart, spinal cord and reproductive organs. CB1 receptors play a role in the regulation of mood, pain, sleep, and motor skills.  CB2 receptors are primarily found in the immune and lymphatic Systems, which regulate inflammation, digestion, heart and stomach function.  For more information, click on the SCIENCE tab.

Is CBD for Pets?

Absolutely!  Many of us with pets love our furry friends like our own children!  Natural health is important for our furry friends too.   Cats and dogs (and actually ANY animal with a spine) have an endocannabinoid system just like us humans.  CBD can also positively affect mood, joint stiffness, inflammation, autoimmune issues, and many other things in animals, as it does in humans.  Click here for more INFO, and please contact me for a consult if you would like more info!
